SAG-AFTRA and studios end strike, actors to resume work

The Screen Actors Guildā€American Federation of Television and Radio Artists (SAG-AFTRA) has announced the end of a 118-day strike by US actors. The union's TV/Theatrical Committee unanimously approved a deal on Wednesday, which will be put forward for approval by the union's national board on Friday. The agreement, valued at over $1b, includes pay raises, a "streaming participation bonus," and rules on artificial intelligence usage. The Alliance of Motion Picture and Television Producers (AMPTP) said the deal provided SAG-AFTRA with the highest contract-on-contract gains in the union's history.
